I am so sorry, Linda, I have only just now seen your comment from a year ago - you must think me very rude in not replying. I do hope that you have managed to stay safe during this pandemic - what a year! There does seem to be some light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccines coming on stream, but we have a way to go yet and here in the UK we have just entered another lockdown phase. Hi Marylee, nice to hear from you. Research has actually been very difficult for me. I was all geared up to do some on location research when the pandemic struck in March and so that particular project stalled. My alternative project also requires (ideally) on location research, but at the moment I'm working on the preliminaries - paper and computer-based and praying that I will be able to travel to speak to folk in person and to experience a particular location in time for the book. Otherwise I shall have to depend on zoom conferencing...

I try to write something completely different - so if I'm in the middle of a novel, I leave it to the side and write a short story - usually encourage by an up-coming competition...
