I'm dealing with that write now (write - get it). I need to finish this Tuff Guy adventure but the ideas just aren't there. You can't force them. There a times when I re-read the section I'm working on, stare at the blank page, and write a few lines. That usually kick starts more, but not always. So I go for a long bicycle ride.

The creative process feels good. I feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment when I finish a book. After all the work of writing, editing, roofing, covers, etc. the hard part starts—marketing.

Write it down! Don't worry about grammar or flow, just get the idea from your head onto screen or paper. Edit later, write now!

That's a tuff one to answer. The idea comes (the Muse lurks somewhere close by) and I write until the ideas stop.

I was reading One Shot, a Jack Reacher novel by Lee Child (the one they made into a movie) when the idea for a Tuff Guy novel came to me. I started to write a half page note to sketch out the story idea and it became 130 pages. 54k words later my WIP is SIP {Stalled In Progress).
