"Sheepless in Seattle" comes out in January. It began with the title, which is silly, then I figured out why there would be sheep on the moon. After that, it wasn't too difficult to figure out how they get lost...

Any little thing can spark a story. I'm particularly fond of taking an odd phrase and turning it into a story title. That's how such stories as "One Does Not Simply Walk Into Mordor" and "Sheepless in Seattle" came about.

I write a new short story for "The Cities of Luna" to come out with every full moon.
I also have a set (not really a series, more of a set...) of stories about the 'incorporeum.' These are non-corporeal creatures native to Earth who live symbiotically with humans. The incorporeum do not experience time the same way we do. They move back and forth from one host to another, millennia apart, at will. These stories appear in the Biblical Legends Anthology series from Garden Gnome publications.
More slowly, I am working on my Steampunk series, "Victoria Pontifex," but it gets relegated to the background when I'm working on other things.

Write, every day if you can, or at least 4-5 days a week. The more, the better. But you're not working on your opus here...you're getting rid of all the plot bunnies and weird tangents cluttering up your brain.
From there, you might find that one little piece you thought was a throw-away is actually a gem ready to be polished. Or you might find yourself ready to move on to a new project.

Writing is in my soul. I would do it whether or not I got paid to do it.

Fortunately, I have a larger problem with writer's overflow than writer's block! But when I do have a sticky point, I talk it out. It doesn't matter too much whether the listener is my husband or my cat; I'm not looking for feedback, I'm looking for someone to nod and smile.
