Travel inspires me. For every place I visit, I learn a little of the politics, the history, and attempt to meet a variety of people. This exposes me to differing viewpoints on a country, its positives and negatives, and frequently the downright unusual. Even the littlest details can add a great twist to a novel set in that location or fill in a character's background. For example, I once learned about how one country started a recent habit of eating tarantulas after stricken by a food shortage. The explanation included how to hunt, kill, and cook them. I've no plans to give it a try, but one of my characters might. Hmm, which one? Anyway, my parents were right when they said travel and expand your horizons.

I'm working on the third book in a science fiction thriller series that takes place in current day on Earth. The books alternately follow two sets of characters who are mix of humans and "Infinitas." The first group is a unique FBI squad who strive to make sure no one of their race unduly influences the human race and gathers evidence against any of their members who murder another Infinitas. The second set of characters are soldiers of Umbra who carry out the execution orders of the I-Council against those who have killed a member of their race. Watch for the release of the first three in the series starting near the end of 2017 or early 2018.

I write thrillers that somewhere in them have an aviation theme, whether it is an aircraft my characters are trying to find and recover (Repossessed), a pilot who flies an experimental craft (Under the Radar), or simply my hero/heroine taking a flight someplace. So recently when my hubby uncovered a "family" flying mystery, I set out to dig up some answers. I actually wrote a blog about it called "The Case of the Mysterious Biplane." Even recently a member of the Pitcarin family, whose company built the biplane, saw the blog and dropped me a note. I've thought about what fun it would be to write a novel around our "real" mystery photo which we dated from 1923. In case you are curious the link is: https://sandyparks.wordpress.com/2013...

I'm so thrilled you're enjoying them. I've plans for a long line of the Repo series and am working on the next book now. Aiming for the end of the year, but also have two other writing projects going so the schedule may be flexible. I love writing the Repo team characters. A hint to the next book. It's a step back in time to the Reno Air Races with fast planes, overblown egos, and big money. How did Lenny meet Roxy and doom his life back in the Big Apple? How did Dunlop first learn about Jet? And who really is Hawker? Thanks for asking. You made my day.
