I've just completed a new book called "People I've Met On The Road". It's a book of travel stories and is both semi-factual and autobigraphical. I travelled a lot in my youth - mostly hitch-hiking and backpacking around the world. So I don't think you'll need further explanation. I used to tell these stories over dinner etc and people said "you should publish these stories". Finally I'm going to, once I've completed the cover artwork.

5. Finishing an earlier book I started writing about a group of old ladies who volunteer in a charity shop. It lacks an ending. It's been resting and maturing for the last 5yrs. It's called "A Charitable Collection".

Start work. Read. Forget what you're going to call yourself. Forget logos. Forget book covers and profile photos. Forget what you will do when you're famous. Forget how or why you will do it all. Just start work.

Knowing I'm a writer but not going around telling people "I'm a writer" (I don't want labels). I also find that I learn by writing. Too many writers are focussed on "telling".

Go out and live life - travel, eat, drink. Most of all doing new things and going to new places and talking to people (most important to ask questions and listen)
