Gregory Shepherd My most recent book is called RINGS OF FIRE, and it will be released by Simon and Schuster (Poplar Press imprint) next year. It is set at the Tokyo Olympics and involves terrorism.
Gregory Shepherd I don't. I just sit down and start in on the manuscript, no matter if I feel inspired or not. Writers have to work hard, and if they wait till they're inspired, they won't get a lot done.

Gregory Shepherd I make little notes to myself all the time and also carry a micro-cassette recorder. I transcribe the notes when I have time. That way, if I'm ever at a loss for ideas, I can refer to my notes and let them take life without my editing them. Editing material too soon can engender a psychological block in itself, so I never polish anything until I have a solid chunk of material.
