I don't know that I consider myself a "writer." "Writers," to me, are people who hit the NY Times bestseller list, who USA Today feature in the Entertainment section, who get awards that confirm their ability to uniquely craft sentences. That ain't me. I'm a man who loves words, and ideas, and reflecting on life, and making people laugh. And my only real talent is being disciplined enough to write almost every day.

I'm a sucker for vampires, zombies, werewolves ... monsters. I wanted to add my voice to the genre but say something different. So I began to write this tongue-in-cheek, let's-poke-fun, story. Somewhere in the middle of writing it, I realized that I could also use it as a commentary on the world around us.
