I just got How to Write a Novel Using the Snowflake Method yesterday, and I've read about 90% of it. What did you think of it? Have you used this method? Sounds like it's something I could use.
Hugh B. Long It's a cool technique, and I use it for brainstorming my plots, but I prefer to do a linear outline once I have the broad strokes worked out.

Also, I see you've read The Forever War by Joe Haldeman. Have you read the sorta-sequel The Forever Peace? I recommend it, if you haven't.
Hugh B. Long Hi Robert, yes, I read Forever Peace, but wasn't thrilled with it. The title suggests a continuation, but it wasn't.

Hugh B. Long Being able to create exactly the kind of world I want to read about.

How do you get inspired to write?
Hugh B. Long Mainly by reading other books across many genres. Don't be afraid to cross-genres and mash things up. Have fun with it!

Hugh B. Long Study the craft, and write a lot. Want to be the best? Limit your time connected to TV and Video games, and keep writing!
