I stumbled across a news article about a subject of great interest to me. I immediately began researching the topic of the article, and given my personal knowledge in that particular field, the ideas rushed me like a broken dam.

I no longer wait for inspiration. Some days, between novels, I write whatever's on my mind to keep the cobwebs from formulating in the corridors of my mind. However, when an idea hits me...and this happens often, it's because I see the potential of a story in everything.
When a particular subject lingers in my thoughts, I'll play around with a few sentences, and when the words begin to flow, I feel like I'm on fire.
That's the best feeling, aside from when my Kiddies tell me they love me!

Write everyday, and read everything! You'll encounter myriad of obstacles along the way. That happens. You'll face rejection after rejection. That happens. You'll be discouraged, and tempted to quit.
