I think it would have to be the deep south so that I could be Scarlett O'Hara and could pursue Rhett Butler!!!

I have just finished reading "Mother" by S E Lynes and "The Woman in the Window" by A J Finn. Both really good books.

Hi Melina I've been writing on and off since school but more seriously for past five or six years. Yes I'm passionate about writing. When I'm in a good flow nothing can stop me but I do get a block now and then!

The best thing about being a writer is actually being capable of putting a story together. A story that will interest people and make them laugh or even make them cry. A friend once told me that something in my book "You to me are Everything" brought her to tears and do you know, it made my day! The thing that pleases me most is if people read my books and enjoy them so please check out my books and make my day!

I'm not sure what inspires me. I get an idea forming so I start writing and then other ideas come as I'm writing and some times the book turns out a lot different than the original idea. It's brilliant really. Time goes so fast when I'm writing. I'm even totally engrossed in answering these questions here on Goodreads.

My advice for aspiring writers is stick with it! I've been rejected so many times I've lost count and when, after many years of self publishing, my book "Educating Maggie" was accepted with www.worldcastlepublishing.com I was over the moon. They've also accepted my next book "A Step Back in Time" which will be available in a few months! It's definitely true that what works for one publisher does not work for others. They're all different and looking for different things.

I am currently working on a book called "Puppy Love" which is set around a cat and dog rescue centre run by the enigmatic Jack Garthwaite. The name of the sanctuary came about because of a song sung by Donny Osmond back in the 70's. My heroine Laurel Masters goes to the sanctuary to look at dogs and, despite the neglected appearance of the hero, can't get him out of her mind! The re-appearance of Jack's ex comes between them ... but only for a while!!!

As in most of my books I get ideas from real life experiences. I work part time in a Baker's shop so my heroine Maggie in "Educating Maggie" works in Bloomers the Bakers and then moves on to work within the examinations area in a school. I work as an Examinations Invigilator in a school! I also bring in little bits about my past, family etc. I usually write about what I know interwoven with things that are totally made up!!!!

I just leave my writing well alone for a few days until the block clears!!!
