Thanks for the question. Ultimately, it is indeed inspiration that fuels the fire of good writing. My ultimate inspiration is from Creator who is constantly guiding my fingers as I write. I also have more earthly sources of inspiration for my writing. In the first two books, it is my love affair with medicinal herbs that has inspired my writing. However, much of the writing on my health/spiritual blog is inspired by my own personal healing, and the healing process of the clients who consult with me. My blog allows me to share the information I have learned in a manner that everyone can access easily and freely. Currently, I have a lot of motivation to write, but lack the time necessary. I use winter hours to do a lot of writing. I also have to block parts of my days off to allow time for this creative process, or it gets gobbled up with consults and other necessities of the day. I have trouble saying no to people asking for personalized help, but realize I can reach many more people by using those hours to share similar information with everyone, through a book or through my blog. At the end of the day, it is a wish to assist people in healing themselves that inspires my blog and book writing.

Thank you for asking about my most recent book, "Herbal ABC's - The Foundation Of Herbal Medicine". "Herbal ABC's" grew out of a series of intensive herb classes I teach herbal students that focuses on herbs and how they are used by body systems. I realize everyone does not have the time or money to attend such classes, and I want to bring herbal medicine to everyone. Additionally, the book allows people to have a reference on their shelf that can be returned to as often as needed. I would warn anyone considering this book, that it is for the serious herb student. If you want to really understand herbal medicine from a western point of view this is a great book. It is also very useful for health care professionals or Dr. Mom. However, if you are simply looking for historical data, and a quick easy read, this is not the book for you. It is dense with herbal knowledge, and although I try to make things as easy as possible, there are medical words that you might have to look up sometimes. This is a book that is being used by herb schools and practitioners. That being said, don't let me scare you away from using it either. You can check out the book on Amazon to see if it is a good fit or not. A big chunk of the book can be read in their "look inside the book" feature. Both my books have this feature on Amazon.
