My current book, Passion Fruit, due to be published by Open Book in a couple of weeks is about an ex-pat living in Brazil and the life she led there which was not what she expected at all. I lived in Brazil for 21 years and the idea percolated for years.

I'm very lucky - many years ago I was given a 2 1/2 inch square book called The Writers block and it´s full of suggestions like "according to the Florida Department of Corrections, more than one hundred people have registered on a waiting list to see an execution - write about one of them." - and photos such as an hourglass about which a story should be written, and interviews with noted writers. It´s a great, if very small, book.
