K.L. Denman Hello Seema! I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed Me, Myself and Ike. I don't believe there will be a sequel. When it was originally written, there was an additional chapter set a year in the future that showed Kit on the journey to recovery, doing well with medication and treatment. It was decided to end the book as you found it, but I like to think he did well.
K.L. Denman Thanks for the question, Cyrene. Mirror Image is set in suburban Canada, but I did not locate the story in a specific town. It could be any one of thousands of places - or wherever you'd like it to be.
Cheers,
K.L. Denman
K.L. Denman The eyes squinting at her from the dark kitchen window leered, sickly red. She shrieked, flicked on the light, and as she reached for the aspirin she vowed that her partying days were done.
K.L. Denman I might pass a short time staring stonily at the blank screen and when I remember that doesn't work, I just start typing something - anything - random thoughts that are somehow related to the thing I want to get at.
When this doesn't work, I step away and go do something else. It's surprising how shifting my attention to a completely different activity can clear the block - and send me straight back to the keys.
K.L. Denman The best thing about being a writer is the deep contentment I feel after being wholly absorbed in the work and resurfacing to find I've written something wonderful.
K.L. Denman Read and write. Repeat often.
K.L. Denman I'm currently working on a short young adult novel entitled "Fake News".
K.L. Denman My inspiration comes from all over - news articles, memories, bits of conversation... I think it most often comes from curiosity about what motivates us to make the choices we make.
K.L. Denman I was inspired to write my most recent book, Quiz Queens, by noticing the popularity of personality quizzes on Facebook. I wondered what would happen between best friends when one of them loves taking the quizzes (and she repeats them until she gets the answer she wants!) while her bestie sees them as a waste of time.
