Orrin Jason Bradford Start! Sit your butt in a chair, preferably one in front of a computer or pad and pen and start. At first, don't even worry about what you're writing, just write. Like Ray Bradbury used to say, "The first one million words don't count" anyway so get to writing them.
Orrin Jason Bradford Well, for starters I don't believe in 'writer's block.' Been looking all around the world for years for one and still haven't found anything that even remotely looks like one. I view writer's block as a series of disempowering thoughts and emotions that we writers like to indulge in way too much and too often. If they start to creep into my awareness, I first make note of them for what they are...merely thoughts and emotions that are getting in the way. I then begin to create new ones that are more empowering.
Orrin Jason Bradford Right now with the COVID-19 running rabid around the globe, the very best thing about being a writer is working from home. My routine has hardly been altered at all especially compared to so many other people.
Orrin Jason Bradford I'm currently working on the second book of the Cosmic Conspiracy series. Babble was book one and Rabble is the working title of this second book that I expect will be a trilogy before the story is over. I'm also in the early mind mapping/brainstorming phase of book two of the Amberica series. The Fringe Candidate was released on Feb. 14, 2020.
Orrin Jason Bradford It depends on what stage of the writing I'm in. More days than I care to admit, I'm not inspired to write, least not at first. It takes sitting down at my computer and starting. Usually, by the time I have the computer read me the last scene or two that I wrote the day before, I'm ready to start running my fingertips over the keys. Away we go!
Orrin Jason Bradford The inspiration for my latest visionary novel, The Fringe Candidate, came from watching and listening to Marianne Williamson during her campaign to become the next President of the United States. The novel chronicles a similar race in the country of Amberica.
