I am working on the fourth round of editing for my third book in my "Ever After Tales" series. It's titled "We are the Wild Ones" and is about Sleeping Beauty's children, set in 13th century Russia.

I don't view myself as a writer who can give advice, since I am still perfecting the craft myself. My best advice would be to read and write as much and as often as possible. Figure out what you like about your favourite writers and let that inspire you. Your own voice as a writer will come, so long as you keep writing.

I like how I can impact people's lives (intentionally or unintentionally) by telling a story. I like how I can use words to create a new world and deal with issues that are uncomfortable or kept in the shadows. I like all the possibility that writing holds.

I wanted to find out what happened to my favourite fairy tale characters after their happily ever after, but I couldn't find any stories that really interested me, especially from their children's perspective. So, I decided to write my own!
