Be realistic and always be gracious if anyone offers to review your books. I prefer not to respond to reviews ( good or bad) and invest in a good editor, they make all the difference.

I have just finished my first children's story which I hope to release later this year. I'm also working on a paranormal fantasy set in a graveyard, with spirits, demons and a serial killer. It's darker than anything I have attempted before, but I want to branch out and keep trying new things until I find my niche.

I write because it's an escape and I enjoy doing it above all else. I have my normal, working job and then I write in my spare time. It's a hobby, but I love the freedom of it and being inspired to come up with new stories.

Working in a desert for five years helped me to write a fantasy book set in the desert. I find it really hard to write effectively unless I've experienced the elemental setting of what I'm writing about, in this case the heat, dust, hot wind and baron landscape of a desert. I appreciate how lucky I was to be able to live in a unique place like a desert, but my advice to anyone is to travel, explore and experience new things...and then write about it.
