Hey Kylie! Thanks for the great question! I have to be honest and tell you I haven't read 50 Shades, so I can't speak toward any similarities.
I will say that my number one pet peeve when I'm reading is when a character acts out of character. You know how it is, you've been reading a series for five books and all of a sudden one of the characters does something and you KNOW they would never really do that. Since that's such a big pet peeve of mine, I work hard to ensure my characters remain true to who they are.
So, while Nathaniel and Abby will face stressful times, you will still recognize them and their relationship. It's still healthy (trust me, Abby has no problem speaking her mind) and Nathaniel is still madly, deeply, and crazy in love with her. But there's an intensity in a forever committed couple and I think that's worth exploring.
I hope you enjoy the books to come!

Hey Jahlen! I have a lot of respect for librarians. I remember as a child going to my local library and there was this one librarian who helped foster my love of reading. In fact, I think she was the first person I told that I wanted to be an author one day.
When I wrote Abby's character, I knew she loved books and I wanted her to do something in with that, but I didn't want her to own a bookstore. I decided the perfect job would be a librarian.
Some people don't like to read and while I don't get it, I don't push the subject. However, if someone says, "I'd like to read, but I never find anything that looks good," I take that as a challenge. What do they like? What interests them? With that information, I can usually think of a few titles to suggest.
Thanks for the great questions!

Hey Tina, Great questions!
I'm a big believer in the happy ending, but I also think that in a lot of ways, a couple's story only starts at "happily ever after". That's when real life kicks in. And yes, it's raw and it's rough, but it can also be incredibly beautiful and sexy. There's a new level of intimacy between two people who have committed themselves to each other for life. And I think that's worth exploring.
Since I've combined Partners in Play into the Submissive Series, I can't really say how many books there will be. Jeff and Dena are in The Collar (July 2015) and Cole and Sasha's story will be out in 2016. Both of these are now part of the Submissive Series. Plus, there are a few other couples I'm excited to write about.
Thanks again for your question!
