Good question.
"Tales From the Sorceress" was originally going to be submitted as a 5,000 word short story to an Anthology. I broke the 5,000 word barrier and just couldn't stop. I fell in love with my characters and saw an opportunity arise in the form of the Kindle Vella Beta.
Determination, opportunity and timing; things work-out if you keep working.

Whenever I am outdoors or doing something unrelated to writing, I can find myself inspired.

I am currently working on a Kindle Vella exclusive episodic fantasy titled, "Tales From the Sorceress" which is up to ten episodes as of this answer.
I am also working on completing my second collection of poetry titled, "Cicadas" which should be available next year (2022) and my current WIP is a blackpowder fantasy series which is titled, "The Wind Eagle Saga".

Seeing readers enjoy what I've written. There is actually nothing better than seeing someone enjoy what you've written even more than you enjoyed writing it.

I step away from writing if things become stagnant. Sometimes I will break out my multitude of unpainted miniatures are focus on that. More often than not my mind will prowl back to whatever I had been trying to force in my writing, the break away from it being just what I needed to do.
