Victoria Chatham Hello Vanessa - I love that you have discovered my books and apologize for not responding promptly. My His Dark Enchantress is Book 1 in my Regency romance Berkeley Square series. The Buxton Chronicles encompasses the three novellas of Lord and Lady Buxton and covers the Edwardian period of 1907, 1913 and finishes in 1918. Brides of Banff Springs is set in 1935 and Loving That Cowboy is a contemporary western romance.

Of all of them, if you haven't given up on me and started reading anyway, I'd suggest The Buxton Chronicles. The story for each year is an easy read and will give you a taste of that era.

I'm currently working on Book 3 in the Berkeley Square series and that will be out next spring. I hope that has helped, and again I apologize for being tardy in responding.
Victoria Chatham Go for a walk and then write down whatever comes to me. It may be nothing to do with my current work in progress but it gets me writing again.
Victoria Chatham Hah! Going to work in my pj's!
Victoria Chatham Just write and if you can, join a good writers group. The help and support you can get from like minded people is invaluable.
Victoria Chatham My next book is Brides of Banff Springs, Book No.3 in the Canadian Brides Series, one historical bride for every province and territory in Canada. This book will be out in December 2016.
Victoria Chatham When I wrote His Dark Enchantress my hero's sister, Lady Juliana, kept getting in the way until I promised her that I would write her story. It rather evolved on its own as Juliana was a most unusual Regency lady. She was never going to settle to an ordinary life, and being rescued from certain death by a ruggedly handsome sea captain, who may or may not be a pirate, certainly is out of the ordinary.
Victoria Chatham My characters usually come to me in one form or another and I go from there. Once the character is in my mind, I start a notebook with jottings about the character, settings lines of dialogue and plot points so I have a point of reference to start from when I am ready.
