Hi Carol. The idea for Sammy came while I was at the sea turtle museum on Jekyll Island while I was watching this adorable little turtle swimming around in his aquarium. He was just the cutest little thing and I thought 'Wouldn't he make a great story character?'

Hello Melanie. Operation Dark Angel: The Rise of Nicolaitanes actually took me the longest to write. It took me a little over a year to complete. Part of the reason why it took so long to write was because the job I was working at the time required more hours as well as my youngest child was still in school.

I got the idea of A Valley Experience from listening to various teenagers that I know and from talking with some abused women that I know. Abuse goes on every single day and many times these women feel as though there is no hope or end to their situation. I wanted to let them know that there is hope; that they can get out of their situation.

My advice to aspiring writers is to take a leap of faith and just write. If it is something you are truly passionate about by all means finish your story, poetry, etc and get it published.

Listening to gospel music or just enjoying some time outside with God always inspires me to write.
