Benjamin Edwards The last taco truck on Earth closed its window, the "Sold Out Forever" sign swinging in the wind. Somewhere in the distance, a faint crunch echoed—someone was eating the final taco, and it wasn’t you.
Benjamin Edwards If I could travel to any fictional world, it’d be The Shire—hands down. I’d love a cozy hobbit hole to retreat to, surrounded by rolling hills, good food, and zero danger of orcs. Sure, they’d probably see me as a giant, but I’d win them over with gifts of ale and my ability to hang decorations way out of hobbit reach.

That said, I’d want to go back and forth. I love my life, but having a Shire getaway? Perfect. Real life for purpose, The Shire for second breakfast and naps. Best of both worlds!
Benjamin Edwards The biggest mystery in my life is how my sons can hear a bag of chips being opened from three rooms away but somehow don’t hear me yelling, “Dinner’s ready!” directly into their faces. It’s like they have selective superpowers—super hearing for snacks, super speed when running away from bedtime, and an uncanny ability to make my phone disappear when I need it the most.

If this were a book, it’d be a comedy-mystery where I, the overcaffeinated dad-detective, am constantly trying to crack the case of “Why Are There Socks in the Fridge?” or “Who Thought Permanent Marker Was a Good Idea?” Along the way, I’d uncover the deeper mystery: how these tiny humans, who can drive me to the brink of insanity with their chaos, can also teach me more about love, grace, and patience than I ever thought possible.

It’d be part parenting memoir, part detective novel, and part therapy session. Working title: "Fatherhood: The Case of the Missing Sanity."
Benjamin Edwards I’m actually trying to read through my entire TBR before the end of the year. When I started, it was sitting at a hefty 140 books (yes, I know, ambitious), but I’ve managed to whittle it down to about 40-ish.

So, I’m making pretty good progress—though at this point, my strategy is basically “read like my life depends on it” while ignoring all the shiny new releases screaming for my attention. It’s like battling a hydra: finish one book, and three more pop up on the list.

I’m determined to win this game… or at least lose impressively.
