Hi Terri, yes, I have a sequel in the works called In My Dreams. I hope to finish it this year. It's about their relationship in the real world, Marcus re-adjusting to life, and Avery trying to pick up the pieces back at college and fixing things with her friends.

I watched snowboarding and other winter sports in the last Olympics, which got me thinking about the kind of people that snowboard. A while later, I was driving on the country highway by my house looking at the bright green rolling hills, and suddenly I thought -- what if a girl had a snowboarder's voice in her head? The idea popped into my mind the same way Marcus pops into Avery's mind, and that was the beginning of It's All In My Head.

If I feel stuck or think I have "writer's block," I work on a different scene or even a different project, or I get outside to do something active. Taking a day off from writing to hike, visit the coast or ride my bike always gives me new ideas and get me motivated to write. A beautiful places makes me want to describe it, and that brings up emotions that I can use in writing.

I love creating new characters and stories, and then getting to know them. The very best part about being a writer is sharing my stories with readers!
