Kat! I am so sorry, only just found this question. The Bad Mother's Christmas is now called the Bad Mother's Detox, and it's out next week. The title changed because I am so slow that the book didn't get out in time for Christmas, so it was changed to coincide with New Year :) Yes, it's the same characters and pretty much carrying on from the last book. A few new characters in it too! Huge love xxx

Excuse this rather arrogant answer, but I have the opposite problem. Too many ideas, too little time. The only writer's block I get is when I read something back and think, 'Oh god, that's rubbish.' But usually, after a few drafts you can get almost anything in shape. xx

FREEDOM! Plus, I'd be miserable doing any other job. Yes, there's a lot of uncertainty, but ultimately I'm the master of my ship and I love it. Plus, I love being able to to random things in the name of research, like visiting a Thai brothel for 'I Take This Woman'. xx

Oh, just write every day no matter what. 1000 words a day, and just keep going. When you've had a few years practise, put a novel out there and LISTEN to your readers and what your readers say, what they like and don't like. Readers are the key to everything. Find out what they want to read and write it for them xx

I wrote my latest book, the Bad Mother's Diary, while I was sleep-deprived and slightly baby crazy, following the birth of my youngest daughter. I hadn't written in a while, and I just had to write something! xx
