Read other books. The more I read, the more I write, and vise-versa. And by always reminding myself that while inspiration may put the words in your head, it takes hard work, determination, and perseverance to get those words on paper.

So, if you've finished your book, sent it to a publisher or agent and have received only rejection letters (so far), you are still in the Top 3% of writers. Find a supportive, knowledgeable critique group, revise, revise, revise, and send it out again. And don't forget that in today's market, you can self publish, but you must learn your craft and learn marketing. Your book is your "baby," but it is also your product.
