Racquel McDonnell Well for my romantic fiction that stems from my diasaterous romantic life. At least it works out for my characters. For my thrillers that started from a song about a bad romance. I also like the Secret Service genre, what drives them and revenge on other that have done wrong to you.
Children's books are just putting yourself back into the mind of a child and bring back all the imagination that ran through you mind. The adventures to be had, the imagination running wild and the innocence of choosing your favorite characters.
Racquel McDonnell Just do it! When I wrote That Forty Thing I wrote the second and third chapter before I wrote the first. Once you get going it'll come together because if you don't try how will you ever know.
Racquel McDonnell You can live through your books and characters. Go anywhere and do anything, it's an amazing outlet for the creative mind inside all of us.
Racquel McDonnell I don't have writers block for long. Using the words 'What if' usually releases the creative flow, sending me on another exciting journey.
Racquel McDonnell Piggy Pag - I always wondered if what we see in the magazines and read in the newspapers is a true account of a persons life. If the opinions we have about celebrities is an account of what really happens and how much is a fabrication.
So I thought I'd write about from the other side how this constant hounding and persecution from the press or do they court the press. Swings and roundabouts. I called it Piggy Pag - I know it's Piggy back but when I was younger I thought they said Pag. Hence Piggy Pag, riding on the back of others to get ahead or to make money on happiness or misery.
