L.P. Halliday As a young person who was undiagnosed with Autism I found safety and security in the world of books. My first real book "obsession" was with Harry Potter, so I would love to visit the world of Hogwarts and honestly just exist.
Autism often comes with a feeling of being an outcast (Whether that is genuinely being an outcast or something I simply perceive in my own mind, I am unsure) but I feel like the world of Harry Potter is filled with weirdos and I may be able to be my weird and wonderful self without side eyes or judgement there.
L.P. Halliday Well I'm a little late to this one as summer is winding down but:
1. Finish the Agatha Raisin Series
2. The House in the Cerulean Sea
3. As we enter spooky season - Practical Magic
4. As many ARC's as I can read to help support other Indie Authors on their self-publishing journey.
L.P. Halliday I guarantee you are your own worst critic - so try and give yourself some grace. Writers block is inevitable (I have it right now) but don't give up no matter how hard it is in the moment.
L.P. Halliday If after five hundred words I can't find my groove I simply walk away. Go do something that relaxes me and come back to it.
L.P. Halliday Every story is worthy of telling. Push through the self doubt and the endless nattering that I think all writers suffer, because when you finally finish that manuscript it feels SO good.
L.P. Halliday The Dryburgh Chronicles Part II: (Title to be determined)
L.P. Halliday The writing process isn't always easy. There are times when the inspiration just isn't there. I've learned to not be hard on myself in those moments. I just sit down, write five hundred words with the understanding that it may get cut later, but all progress is progress.
L.P. Halliday While on a train between the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh with my husband Lilian popped into my head. I looked to him and said I'm going to write a book about witches in Scotland. Two years later, I did it!
