I don't believe in writer's block, or the idea that you simply *can't* write. People suffering from writer's block just don't want to write. Or are afraid that what they write isn't good. Every writer has days (or weeks!) in which writing isn't fun and doesn't flow. You just have to power through it. Write even though it's hard. Even though you suspect it sucks. Keep writing.

After solving three and a half mysteries with Lexy Cooper, Detective Mike Malick is getting his own book (and maybe a series?) In this story Malick investigates the murder of a grunge-era rock star. It's fun to write Mike first-person, and especially interesting to make worlds collide as this book features characters from the Lexy books and my first novel "The Sleepless Nanny." Summer Wind not only is Mike Malick #1, it's Lexy Cooper 3.5 and The Sleepless Nanny 2.
