My most recent book has been submitted to a potential publisher. It’s a small collection of stories and fragments (and fragmented stories) linked by the fallibility of memory. The idea stemmed from my inability to remember a certain place in England that I visited back in the mid nineties.

If I’m looking for inspiration I almost always find it reading. I’ve found that the works of Lydia Davis, Flann O’Brian, Daniel Kharms, Alphonse Allais and Rhys Hughes always inspire me to write something. Often inspiration sneaks up on me - often courtesy of those around me.

An independent publishing house I admire (as a reader and book collector) will be publishing an anthology next year. Their anthologies are always wonderful, the books are stunning and I’d love to be a part of one. I’ve been invited to submit something, so my focus is entirely on that right now.
