Cindy Brandner No, I didn't. Are you on FB? If so, maybe just go to my books page- Cindy Brandner-Exit Unicorns and PM on that page. I have no idea why the message didn't come through in my email, but this method should work for certain.
Cindy Brandner Hi Anne- Yes, there is another book, I'm working on it now- it's only about 200 pages in manuscript form so far, but it is being written. :) I would never be so cruel as to leave my readers hanging with the way 'Shadows' ended. I'm so glad you've enjoyed the series thus far. It will probably take about another two and a bit years for me to finish this one, and then with production, etc, it will hopefully be out about three years from now.

Cindy Brandner Hi Ruby,

First of all, I'm very glad you enjoyed the fourth installment in the series. :) As to the 5th book, it's only just started so it's hard for me to say when it might be ready. I'll be sure to update on my Facebook page (Cindy Brandner-Exit Unicorns) as the process moves along. These books take me quite a bit of time to write, as I try to be very accurate with the historical details and to allow the story time to breathe and grow as I go along. Usually it takes me about four years between books. Again, thank you for the kind words, I'm so glad you are enjoying the series.
Cindy Brandner Thanks, Peggy. It's always nice to hear that someone has enjoyed the series this much. :) I just got back from a month of research and fun in Ireland so I'm ready to buckle down and finish book four. Alas, I am a bit of a slow writer, I manage a couple of pages a day on a good day. That ought to speed up as I get closer to the end of this book though. Again, thanks for taking the time to write, it helps to keep me with my nose to the grindstone (or keyboard as it were) to know readers are awaiting the next installment with anticipation.
Cindy Brandner I will usually try to work on something else, and not stress myself too much about the piece that isn't going well, or alternatively I'll work on something creative that isn't writing- building fairy houses, etc, usually that something else will free up my writing muse again.
Cindy Brandner Having my own schedule, being answerable only to myself for the most part. Doing what a I love and living in an alternate universe for much of each day.
Cindy Brandner The idea has always been there, being that my ancestors are from Ireland and I've had a passion for the country as long as I can remember. It started with my grandmother's tales of Ireland, as well as the folklore- fairies and leprechauns and then as I got older I became fascinated by the history as well. As far as story inspiration goes, Irish history is a very deep well.
Cindy Brandner The fourth book in my 'Exit Unicorns' series, which take place during the time of the Irish Troubles.
Cindy Brandner For me it's a passion for the subject and wanting to explore that subject as deeply as possible- that's what really lights my fire as a writer.
Cindy Brandner Love what you do, most writers don't make a living wage, so you have to write because you can't *not* write. If the money comes, it's a bonus.
