First, I apologize for not seeing this sooner. I think Goodreads has a bit of a lag as I only received it in email yesterday but see you asked 5 days ago.
Actually, the name change came about as the result of a long overdue break up. I legally reinstated my maiden name to put distance between myself and my mistake.
But the great new marriage happens later this year. Thanks for the question and have a wonderful weekend!

I'm really not sure. I have more ideas than I'll ever have time to write. Ideas are the easiest step in the process. For my most recent release (The Red Strokes) the idea for the book began with one of the characters, Heddie Mae Porter, and the rest of the story was built around her even though she isn't the main character.

I have a new book coming out on July 1st. It is the first book of a three-book series. At this point it's titled, "Cry Like A Girl", although feedback from my beta readers suggest another title, something befitting the story a little better. We'll see.

I'm always inspired, but sometimes I'm distracted. When life is on an even keel, I write for a few hours after breakfast, and then on and off throughout the day. When I have more serious issues to deal with, it does take from my writing so I try to deal with and eliminate them as quickly as possible.

There's so much advice out there, most of it good, solid advice. If I have to choose one piece of it, commit to the journey. Once you make the decision to undertake a writing project, see it through.

I can't say I suffer from writer's block as much as I suffer from lack of focus when there are many negatives going on in my life. Fortunately, my life has been on a positive upswing for some time now and writing has come easily.
