The best thing about being a writer varies from nonfiction to fiction. With nonfiction, there’s a sense of gratification when you learn that something you wrote helped someone or enlightened them. When readers reach out to tell you that your words affected their life, that experience is extremely powerful. When it comes to fiction, the best thing is the ability to create alternate worlds; you are limited only by your imagination. The process leads to a great deal of creative freedom and a high degree of leeway. It’s exciting to even contemplate and executing it is the absolute best part of being a writer!
