Hi Edwina! Thank you so much for contacting me. Converting books to audible is on my To Do list, but the biggest thing standing in my way is cost. It costs a few thousand dollars per book to do it right and currently I just don't have the money. I'm an actor and I know how much time and talent is required for an audio book which is why I wouldn't commission one unless I knew I could pay them what they deserve. I have thought of recording my mysteries myself, but just renting a studio and equipment is lots of $$. But, now that you raised this, I promise to move it up my list! Thank you! Best, Maureen

I like escaping into a new world with people I would like to know in real life. Even when I'm frustrated because I can't quite work out the story, I like knowing the Kellingtons and Emersons are out there.

I've been writing professionally in different ways for most of my career, from answering mail for a Senator in Washington, to working as a press secretary to writing for a late night show in Hollywood. All of those had daily -- if not hourly -- deadlines. So I had to find a way to push through writer's block to get things done. It was either that or find a new job.
I apply that as much as possible in my novel writing. I try to write every day, even if it's crap. I feel better when I'm done and it helps me pick up the next day and do it again, even if I end up deleting everything I wrote the previous day.
