Hi, I just finished Proof of Love and enjoyed reading it. Was Journey of Love never completed? There was mention of a continuing story as the end of the book.

Brenda J. Webb I am about 1/3 way through writing the sequel. I got waylaid by my current story THE APPEARANCE OF GOODNESS, which I am 2/3 through writing. I am presently posting chapters of TAOG on my forum DarcyandLizzy.com if you care to read along. Thank you for your interest.

Have you seen the cover for Elizabeth and Darcy: A Romeo and Juliet Twist? Using the same Darcy as on your Proof of Love. I didn't know if that was your exclusive property or not but … for what it's worth to you ...

Brenda J. Webb I am just now seeing this. Unfortunately the couple on the cover can be used by any author though there are numerous poses to choose from they happened to use the one I chose. Sigh.

Hi Brenda. I've just checked Amazon UK and both books with the plagiarised covers have disappeared. Thank goodness for that. I know you've been in touch with Amazon about it and I put in my sixpennies worth too, as I expect did others in the JAFF community. So sorry you were a victim of such a thing. I wonder how much the person or persons, involved, made out the books while they were still available?

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Brenda J. Webb Ideas for stories just come naturally for me. I have dozens of them.

Brenda J. Webb I stay inspired to write. It is finding the time that is hard.

What are you currently working on?

Brenda J. Webb My next novel about Darcy and Elizabeth. It is called "A Promise Kept." I will not divulge the plot for obvious reasons. :)

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Brenda J. Webb First, if you do not have good grammar and punctuation, find someone willing to 'fix' all your errors before you begin. A lot of betas (friends, relatives) are not willing to do all the work required to change those kind of mistakes and beta your story too. And, while hiring an editor for the book is possible, a stranger will not always do the best job. Second, if you do not know what point-of-view or telegraphing is, take a writing course (there are some online) before you begin. Third, if you plan to write period stories, learn about the period before you tackle a story set in that era. You should not use modern language for a tale set in the 1800s. Fourth, if you do not have good story-telling skills, perhaps you are meant to paint, draw, sew instead of write.
