Billy Ray Chitwood Camelot! Why not! Give it a shot with a plot...and, write! Why not! ♥
Billy Ray Chitwood REMEMBERING DEATH and NEVER SURRENDER TO DEATH by James Paddock...
Billy Ray Chitwood The brutal murder of a young actress and friend of my wife and me... So far as I know, her homicide is still a 'cold case' in Phoenix, Arizona... I wrote a fictional account of this murder with AN ARIZONA TRAGEDY - A BAILEY CRANE MYSTERY, Book 1 of 6. The book is mostly accurate in terms of forensic information offered by newspaper accounts of the day, but my ending is totally fabricated by my mind...the monster who committed this heinous crime is still out there, likely in prison for another crime or dead after all the passing years.
This mystery is still a viable plot for a book...
Billy Ray Chitwood Dagwood and Blondie Bumstead... I grew to adulthood with them. ♥
Billy Ray Chitwood At this point I'm not one of the believers that traditional publishing faces a bleak future because of 'publish-on-demand'. We have so many writers going POD and so many not necessarily publishing to very high standards. It's difficult for me to believe some of these old publishing houses are going to roll over and play dead because of POD. Billy Ray Chitwood If convinced of your writing skills, stay the course, be true to yourself and realistic in setting your goals.
Billy Ray Chitwood Just finished a blog interview with one of my favorite author friends - the blog originates on http://thefinalcurtain1.wordpress.com and usually comes once a week and is shared on Goodreads, my personal website at http://billyraychitwood.weebly.com, and on the IAN Social Network...I'm a bit inept digitally and do not understand Goodreads 'image' system, so any simple hints will be appreciated.
I'm doing some 'flash fiction' and filtering through some ideas for another novel.
Billy Ray Chitwood By awaking to each new day and the beauty outside my windows...
Billy Ray Chitwood My most recent book, "A Common Evil..." is set in Mexico on The Sea of Cortez. I lived at a resort much like the one described in the book and was an HOA president. The book is fictional but was inspired by an actual cartel confrontation at the the resort where a cartel boss was killed along with other cartel members. Some of the personal situations were drawn from my few years there, most of them pleasurable in the remembrance...love the country and its people, for the most part. Obviously, there are problems unique to Mexico, more pronounced and highlighted by the media...yet problems most countries face...
