Shubnum Khan My new novel is very strange and very different from my first one and I would be lying if I said I really understood where I got the idea from. I wanted to explore what love means and the story sprung from that intention.
Shubnum Khan Yes! Well beside the fact that I think any place can be interesting if you write well enough about it, I think Durban has so many quirks and interesting landscapes and people. It’s such a melting pot of cultures, there’s the sea, the sand, inland there’s the sugar cane valleys and further in there’s mountains. I think more people really need to write about Durban and I think other people would love reading about it.
