Christopher John Chater One of my favorite books is "What Dreams May Come" by Richard Matheson. It's about a guy named Chris who dies and goes to heaven. In this heaven his thoughts create his reality. I think it would be a pretty cool place to go, provided I could come back.
Christopher John Chater Right now I'm reading Christopher Moore's "Bloodsucking Fiends." It's really well written, very funny. I highly recommend it. As for this summer, I have no idea what I'll be reading. That's too far in the future! I'm open to recommendations.
Christopher John Chater I'd been actively dating and watching a lot of apocalyptic TV. I wondered how anyone would date during an apocalypse and thus my new series was born, Dating in the Apocalypse.
Christopher John Chater Usually something just pops into my head that excites me and I put it down. Sometimes music helps get the juices flowing. More times than not I write whether I'm inspired or not and the inspiration comes in-process.
Christopher John Chater I'm currently working on an Apocalyptic Rom-Com called Dating in the Apocalypse. It's about a guy who is looking for the love of his life during an apocalypse.
Christopher John Chater Read a lot, write a lot, don't give up.
Christopher John Chater The freedom. It's also the worse thing.
Christopher John Chater I don't try to force anything. If the words don't come then I go do something else. Sometimes the creative well runs dry and I need to replenish it. Other times it takes relaxation, focus, and digging deep. The worst thing a writer can do is worry about it. I play hard-to-get and devil-may-care with my writer's block.
Christopher John Chater My great great great grandfather, McClellan Moore, was evidently a war hero. As the story goes, while a colonel in the Union Army during the Civil War, he rescued both Confederate and Union soldiers who had been wounded in battle and brought them to a local church to be cared for. This act of bravery and compassion had allegedly got him a signed letter from President Abraham Lincoln. The letter was passed down to a relative who ended up selling it when he'd hit some financial problems. Today that letter would be worth a fortune, but despite our best efforts we haven't been able to find it in any archives or collections. I think a family in search of proof of their long lost relatives heroic past would be a good plot for a book.
