Thank you for that intriguing question! I think we're all immersed in our own personal and co-related mystery, be it the future or just trying to make sense of the unknown.
Actually, a mystery of sorts from my own life gave me the idea for my first novel, which is going to be released next year. It's a mystical journey of loss, healing and redemption and is centered in the reality of a psychiatric hospital. Stay tuned... My new book Reflect evolved over a long period of time. My idea from the beginning was to write something gently provocative, concise and direct that could be used each day to deepen awareness. It came from the idea and sense that people are hungry for deeper meaning and connection.

For me, I write and then I get inspired to write. The act of working on something I'm passionate about inspires the emotion.

My advice is don't give up. I've saved some of my rejection letters. Jack London got rejected 600 times before getting his first article published. Now that's perseverance! His example is inspiring.

Good question. Lots of things, actually. One thing I like is that it's connecting to others who will read the book. I think of writing as a conversation with others.

I have found that when I'm working on a project, I always start editing and reading from page 1.. By the time I get to the new material I'm "warmed up" so to speak. That works for me and gets me in the flow.
