BRIAN ALTON COLE With my imagination, a story is only a thought away and the time to write it.
BRIAN ALTON COLE There are so many answers to this question. Escaping reality is one answer, but the enjoyment of the book I hear about when people finish a good story is the best of the best. I think for a writer, reading that review makes it all worth the many hours spent writing.
BRIAN ALTON COLE If I have a block, I take my mind off the story and do something else. Sometimes, I find that once I sleep on it, I wake up to new ideas and plots!

BRIAN ALTON COLE Probably one of my creations. In many of my stories, I develop worlds that fit the plot or the characters. Usually, they are the kind of places that would be nice to visit. What would I do there? That would all depend on my character role.

BRIAN ALTON COLE "The Journey"
It’s the sixteenth century. Thomas Thompson is a promising English historian, and his Irish friend, Connor O’Brien, is a historical linguist. The two men eagerly leave all behind to travel across the ocean to the new land of America to find a tribe of red-haired natives, the Duhare tribe. Thomas Thompson believed these natives to be of Irish descent. With the help of Connor O’Brien to verify his beliefs, an adventure beyond his or Connor’s wildest dreams begins! Shortly after landing in America, the two men flee further into the unknown with death on their heels.
BRIAN ALTON COLE Well over a year ago, my granddaughter began hounding me to write and finish a story with her as the main character. This Christmas season, 2023, I published the story on Amazon. In this story, my 26-year-old granddaughter is an elf queen. It's a fun story to read.
