This is such a hard question (which is a good thing, in my opinion)!
In no particular order, my favourite books I've read recently are Circe by Madeline Miller, Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut, and Sister, Maiden, Monster by Lucy A. Snyder.

It's interesting because my favourite reading genres and my favourite writing genres are different- I was driven to writing fantasy for a much different reason than I would to read it. I find it incredibly fun to try and translate my real world struggles, joys, and thoughts about the world and our place within it into fantastical realms, creatures and characters. There's something so amazing about analyzing the structure of our world and reimagining it in an entirely different way, taking pieces I love in order to celebrate them or hate in order to critique them.
As for sapphic romance, there's nothing I love more than celebrating the part of my identity that brings the most love and community into my life!

It very much is! The writing process for the rest of the series is a little bit different than the first, as I'm writing books 2 and 3 all at once. This does NOT mean, however, that I'll be editing them at once- that would take years and much of my remaining sanity. It does mean that the release dates between books 2 and 3 will be much shorter than the wait for book 2, but I can promise you it will be more than worth it. There's a myriad of new and exciting characters, regions of the world, and much more of Rian and Alisha going forward. Their story hasn't ended!

The very first rendition of When Two Roads Meet was written when I was only 12-13 years old on one of my dad's unused notebooks I stole from his office. Many years later, after a horrible breakup and a struggle with my own identify and sexuality, I picked it up out of my closet and reimagined it for my current state of mind. I was heavily inspired by stories I grew up and learned to love, such as The Last Of Us and Arcane!
