Sometimes I will listen to music or read a classical or comtemporary poem that has inspired me in the past and other times, I will simply put the pen down and just create something else, like a song, graphic or other creative piece.

The last book ('Conversations with Skeletons') took a lot out of me artistically, emotionally, mentally and physically, so I'm slowly writing and reacquainting myself with The Universe. I'm also learning how to play my new violin.

Music is a big inspiration. I do believe the well from which everything springs forth is The Universe. I respect that unknown force.

I felt it was time for me to really push myself artistically as well as strive for some genuine, personal growth by pouring the pain of the past into my poetry. I also miss acting so I tried to get into the mindset of earlier versions of myself, as if I were playing a character, and then took those raw emotions and let them run wild in the poems. It was exhausting but I felt like I accomplished something.
