Pull the trigger. When you don't feel like writing, write anyway. Set a firm deadline that your mind doesn't allow you out of. Make mental reasons why you must reach that deadline, consequences even. No excuses. If you said you were going to write 3 pages, just do it. Good or bad - do it.

I love to block out everything else, get in a quiet space, and in my mind start painting. There is a blank canvass I get to fill with words that I hope declares the beauty and wonder of God. Every sentence is a brushstroke. Every opportunity is leveraging art for the sake of lifting high God's name.

This principle has been in my mind for quite sometime. I think the Bible passage that sticks out in my mind is Jesus telling us to follow Him means denying ourselves, and picking up our cross.
