I find Nei-Nei down to be a very interesting character. Is she based on a person dear to you?
Liz Rosenberg No, actually Nei Nei is one of my favorite characters too-- and she is totally fictional. She's just one of those made-up characters who seems very real in my own head. She was a wonderful surprise.

Could you tell more about the inspiration behind the book and how you researched it?

Hi Liz, My name is Kyle Stone, and I am curious if anything became of I Did It Anyways? I'm a children's book illustrator and was hired to Illustrate your script a few years back by Harcourt (or Hyperion) but they decided to not move forward with it, for whatever reason. Liz Rosenberg Thanks for the question, Kyle. I DID IT ANYWAY was indeed moved from publisher to publisher-- twice. I think it is scheduled to come out -- but let me check on that! I'd love to see your sketches otherwise.
