I love your writing but I hate finding a cliff hanger at the end of a book. Do you have any stand alone stories?
Steven Konkoly Thank you for the kind words, Karen, and for the constructive criticism. Writing a series presents that challenge, and I think I pull it off well in most cases, but I haven't always done the best job of bridging two novels in a series. The Jakarta Pandemic is a stand alone story.

Hi Steven! I'm new to your work and just devoured Fractured State and Rogue State. Loved every second of it. Do you have a release date planned for the next installment?
Steven Konkoly Benjamin, Sorry for the delayed response. I just discovered this section. I think I'll need to turn on notifications. LOL! Altered State will hit shelves in 2018. I'm really looking forward to writing the final book.

Just finished The Perseid Collapse series through Dispatches. Loved every minute and every character. But, now I learn Dispatches is the end?!?!?!? Nooooo. Say it isn't so. It is rare that I become so attached to every one of the characters in a book series. I am not believing it. You said it yourself in Dispatches ... Alex would never abandon his friends ... how can you? More, please!
Steven Konkoly Mark, Dispatches is the end of the Fletchers and friends for now, however, I have long term plans to bring them back, likely featuring their son as the lead character. This is not in the immediate works, so don't get too excited. So glad you enjoyed the Perseid series. I miss the characters too.

Hi Steven, it's been a very long time, but I've noticed you're finally going to return to spy fiction with the fifth full length black flagged novel VORTEX. Have you determined on a (very rough) estimated time of arrival? I was overjoyed when I saw the news. Can't wait to see how life is treating Daniel, Jessica and Sanderson.
Steven Konkoly Samuel, sorry that I completely missed this questions. I didn't see this "ask the author" section until recently. You probably know by now that VORTEX is OMEGA, and it was released in January. I have one more Black Flagged book planned, scheduled for 2018.

Steven Konkoly Thanks, Hypnon. Yes, I have one more book planned, which will be the fourth book in the Perseid series. Takes place about 7 months after Point of Crisis...after the winter thaw. I'm pretty sure book will close the series. After that, I have a completely different post-apoc/disaster scenario planned for a family on the west coast. Glad you've enjoyed the books!
