Alison Cherry Thanks for reading—I'm so glad you liked it! While I would love to see my books become movies too, authors have no control whether that happens or not and usually aren't involved in the process if it does. So all I can do is cross my fingers and wait, just like you. :)
Alison Cherry Thank you! I’m so happy you loved the book! There won’t be a sequel to WILLOWS, but I have a new middle grade book coming out next September. We are still in talks about the title, but it’s about a girl who’s trying to become a dog show champion and also find a new girlfriend for her divorced dad by impersonating him on online dating sites. You can also check out my first MG book, THE CLASSY CROOKS CLUB, which came out last year!
Alison Cherry Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It took me about a year to draft it, and then I did a few months of revisions with my editor.
Alison Cherry Yes there is! My next MG is coming out in fall 2018. It's called PICK OF THE LITTER, and it's about a girl who's trying to find her dad a new girlfriend by impersonating him on online dating sites.
Alison Cherry Thank you so much! I'm firmly of the belief that middle grade is for everyone, whether you're 11 or 27 or 89 (as my grandfather is—he's been passing CLASSY CROOKS CLUB around his retirement community!)

I am indeed writing more MG books! WILLOWS VS WOLVERINES, which is about a boys-vs-girls prank war at a sleepaway camp, is coming out in April of next year. I'm also working on a collaborative MG book with six other authors called SEVEN SIDES TO EVERY STORY, which takes place of the course of one night at a middle school dance. I hope to have lots more in the future!
Alison Cherry I don't know yet--my publisher is in charge of setting up things like that! But I'll make sure my publicist gets in touch with you if we do one! Thanks for your interest.
Alison Cherry I read a very alarmist article that said redheads would be extinct within a hundred years, and I started wondering what it would be like if redheads were treated like an endangered species, with their very own "wildlife sanctuary"! Fortunately, the article turned out to be false—there's no evidence at all that redheads will be bred out of existence. As you can imagine, I was quite happy to hear that. :)
Alison Cherry Right now I don't have any series ideas, but I can't say for sure that I won't EVER write one. Who knows!
Alison Cherry I take a long time to write them. :)
Alison Cherry Thank you so much! I actually have a younger sister, and our relationship is NOTHING like Claire and Miranda's. But I'm so glad it rang true for you! One of the best things about being a writer is taking information you've gathered from your own life and twisting it into something completely different. :)
Alison Cherry No, I'm not planning on it! RED was always intended as a stand-alone.
