I'd be happy to! Can you send me the link to the group?

I would say Vin and Elend Venture from Mistborn. The dynamic between them is so fun and interesting. Their differences keep them both on their toes.

Recent book? As in the book I'm currently writing? Or my last published book? Both? Okay, here you go!
The origins of my novel actual came from a random question I had about light and dark. Why do stories always make light good and dark bad? Like in Star Wars... Light side of the force = good, Dark side of the force = bad. So I played with an idea about light magic and good magic and how neither of them were good or bad. Good or bad depended on how the magicians used their magic.
As for my last published novel, The Network, I was sitting in a college course learning about the history of networking. I had the random thought of what a potential future might look like due to social networking. Totally ran with it and created a fine novel!

I am currently working a a Fantasy novel. It's my first attempt at the genre, but most of my favorite books are Fantasy. It is called The Shadow Wielder, and it takes place in a completely different world called Ilu. I'm about 5 chapters in, at about 20,000 words.

You can have the best idea for a story and never see it come to fruition if you never put pencil to paper (or fingers to keyboards). Write! Just start writing! I'd highly recommend participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in November to help you bust out a bunch of writing. Get it all out, then go back and clean it up!

Music inspires me quite a bit. Solid movie soundtracks seem to get my juices flowing. Also, people watching is quite inspiring. Keeping an eye on my surroundings often inspires me to write about what I've seen or heard.

Creation. You get to create people, stories, ideas, and make them all work together. It's like a big jigsaw puzzle, but you're creating the image as you go piece things together!

Tough question. I know a lot of writers would say something like "I write something else." In all honesty, I usually sit back and think about the story up to that point and ask myself if writer's block is just in my head, or if the story is lacking in areas, causing the hindrance. I then throw different ideas off to my writing group and get their feedback.
