Austin Stack My family and I rescued a few cats from living as strays, and I've always wondered what adventures (and troubles) they might have had before they came to us. How did Oliver get that little crook in his tail...?
Austin Stack Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie
This Is How You Lose The Time War
Chrestomanci by Diana Wynn Jones
Austin Stack I'd love to visit King Arthur's court and go on a quest or two for the round table! Magic and knights and dragons and heroes are such fun characters. I want to be part of that legend.
Austin Stack I am a cat and I want to lie down. But someone (gasp!) is already in my spot!!!
Austin Stack Usually, writer's block happens when you don't know what the next step is in your story (or sometimes even the first step). Don't worry about having the perfect answer right away—you can always come back and fix anything you don't like. For now, just get started and worry about making it perfect once the book is written.
Austin Stack Absolutely the best thing is when people read what you've made and you get to talk to them about the world and characters you created. I love seeing what my readers say about each book.
Austin Stack Find out what stories you like, and then tell some stories like that. Do you like characters who are like you, or who are totally different? Do you like superheroes, or do you prefer wizards? Write a story that you would love to read! Don't worry about writing a long book or a fancy one, just tell a story that you enjoy.
Austin Stack I'm preparing to release the second book in the Kat Doggers series: The Daisy Dilemma. Kat goes on her first-ever solo mission, and faces a new villain's mysterious scheme... Make sure you sign up to be notified when the book comes out!
Austin Stack I read a LOT, and I'm never more inspired to write than when I'm reading all the fantastic stories other authors have made. I want to add my own ideas and words to the library of stories everyone has told, and so I always look forward to sitting down at my desk after that.
Austin Stack I've always loved cats. They're adventurous, elegant, and a little bit silly! When I was really little, I used to imagine how awesome it would be to see a cat become the best spy in the world, facing and defeating criminal animals—especially animals nobody would expect to be scary—and so Kat Doggers got her first mission: defeating the evil rabbit genius Dr. Bertie B. Bunnytron. When I decided to write my first full children's story, I knew there was only one story I could tell, and that was Kat's.
