I guess I missed this question when it was asked. Sorry about that.
I've tried a couple of times to come up with another Abby book, but the spirit just doesn't move me. I'm afraid I got tired of her after four books.
Though I wouldn't rule out another entry in the series, I haven't got any plans for one now, or any very good ideas for what more I could do with her.
Thanks for asking - apologies for not replying in a timely fashion!

Hi Lesley - Sorry for my long-delayed response. I'm not very active on GR. Just checked in today for the first time in months.
I'll add The Street right now. Thanks for the suggestion.
Of course, after all this time, the book is old news now! 😟

Hi Carlee - Yes, I'm still writing. My most recent books are the four entries in the Bonnie Parker, PI, series. The titles, in order, are Cold Around the Heart, Blood in the Water, Bad to the Bone, and Skin in the Game. All of these should be available at Barnes & Noble's website, except Skin in the Game, which is exclusively with Amazon right now. (The ebook is exclusive; the print edition is available at the BN site.)
None of my books will be found in brick and mortar stores anymore, though. I'm self-publishing, so I don't get into those stores now. Online is where the action is, these days.
You can get more info at my website, michaelprescott.net.

The next book is #4 in the Bonnie Parker series. As for when it will be out ... I really can't say. Try as i might to produce books faster, I seem unable to do it. But it will be done eventually, or so I tell myself. :-)

Blood in the Water takes place during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. That storm disrupted my life pretty thoroughly for about two weeks, and I figured I ought to be able to get something good out of it!

Lately I've been focused on bringing back the remaining titles in my backlist - horror novels from the late 1980s and early '90s. These books probably have less appeal than my more recent ones, but I think they still hold up pretty well, though some have required editing. I finished my most recent book, Blood in the Water, not long ago, and I haven't developed a new idea yet, though I expect it will be a follow-up again featuring the intrepid Bonnie Parker, PI.

Working at home and sleeping late. Seriously. I always hated getting up early and having to march off to a classroom or a cubicle.

In some ways I welcome writer's block. If I can't proceed with a scene, it invariably means there's something wrong with it. I give myself some time to think about it, and then write down possible problems. Usually the correct problem appears on that list pretty quickly. Once I resolve whatever issue was bothering me, I can write the scene without procrastinating. So I think it's best to respect writer's block, and not to bulldoze your way through it.
