Inspiration is everywhere! It might be in something a person says, the line of a song, a commercial, a funny image in my brain, a news story, eavesdropping, people watching, or just my wacky brain spinning an idea.

My WIP is a paranormal suspense novel called They All Died Smiling. Kassidy discovers she has a power she absolutely does not want: the ability to see demons and other foul influences around people. And she finds herself chin deep in trouble because of it when she tries to prevent the daughter of a senior FBI agent from succumbing to a demon and creating havoc.

The best way to become a writer is to WRITE lots and lots and lots of words. It's like exercising your author muscles. The other thing to do is read good books. I don't believe in "writer's block." It doesn't have to exist for you either.
If I need something to tickle my muse, I simplytake something like the line from a song, a new story, or image and start writing whatever comes to mind. After that, my creative juices are activated and I can get into my work in progress. I hope that helps.
