This might sound weird - with all the terrific and convoluted relationships there are out there in fiction-land - for me, it is Hermione and Ron ... why?
Because we see them from morph from childhood indifference, through the many manifestations of attraction, neglect, and downright cack handedness, all the way to becoming a couple.
It's a good and bad journey, well written by JK - we can sense that their ongoing relationship will be peppered with up and downs and daily duties, not to mention tragedy - but we also know they will survive this. Their bond is strong.
Damned good writing.

The idea for Dark Creed came about when I was reading a non-fiction book about the Manson Family.
The power of the cult is strong - and no rational discussion can sway someone who has taken the leader's lies and manipulations hook line and sinker. The devotee essentially gives away their whole identity - which makes for a great premise.
It was dark writing at some times - and scary, but I think the story came out well in the end.

I treat it as a normal job. I'm at my PC for 9.00am. I work until lunchtime (take a nap) - back at it for 2.30pm-ish, and then through to 5.00/5.30/6.00pm-ish. This way the story is always fresh, and rolling around in my synapses.

I have marketing stuff to do for Dark Creed - TEGG; release January 2017 - and I'm working through edits for a stand alone novel (not Ed Greenwood Group) . Another dark/urban fantasy.

Read, read, read - then read some more, and diverse books. Read in multiple genres and writing styles. Read non-fiction. And write. Always write ... everyday do something, even one line.

I change to something else: start a new story that's been stewing, do redrafts/edits if I have any to do, write an article or a blog, anything that takes my mind away. It's like a crossword puzzle - when you're not concentrating on it, the answer comes.
