Will there be a second "The Family With Two Front Doors"?
Anna Ciddor Sorry, at this stage I don't have plans to write a sequel but I have written other books since then. "The Family with Two Front Doors" was based on my grandmother's childhood so you might enjoy "52 Mondays" based on my own childhood. My most recent book is "The Boy Who Stepped Through Time" and I have a new book coming out in 2023 called "A Message Through Time."

Yes, I know that. Yes, my mothers Jewishness traced back to Moses, as outlined, above. However my mother's brother who 'remained' Jewish, was certain that my mother 'lost' her succession as she had converted before turning 12, according to 'Reform Jewish Law'.. Do you know if this is true.?

My mother's father converted when she was 12 years old. My late Uncle said this meant she was no longer Jewish, so therefore, neither was I. My ancestors are Lowenstein, shortened to Lowe. Moses Lowenstein had 20 children, 10 each from two wives. Eldest son of 2nd wife is my great grandfather OB. Do you have a good online research link, please?

What an interesting family - sounds like a topic for a book! Jewish religion is passed down through the mother so the important question is: Was her mother Jewish?

Anna Ciddor Hi Maddie! I am glad you enjoyed The Family with Two Front Doors so much. I actually do have more books planned about the same family. When I interviewed my nana I ended up with hundreds of pages of notes, and so far I have only used a few of her stories about her childhood. However, the first book took me four years to write and I am afraid it will be a while before the next one is finished. In the meantime, you might like to read some of my earlier books. You can find them in libraries or order them from bookshops or online.

Anna Ciddor Whenever I get stuck with my writing I do more research. Just randomly surfing the web or reading books about anything interesting can spark off an idea. Your subconscious is always working for you!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Anna Ciddor Years ago, my husband kept nagging me to interview my grandmother about her childhood while she was still around to tell me. Luckily I did, because when she started to talk about her huge family (9 kids!) and the things they got up to I realised I would have to write a book about them. Sadly, she passed away before I got around to it, but I have just finished the book, based on the life she described. It is called 'The Family with Two Front Doors.'
